Welcome to Chapin!
If you're here, you probably want to know what Chapin's all about. Well, to start with the basics,
we're the Humanities Residential College. While everyone here shares an interest in things like literature, and art and all the other
things chock full of humanities goodness, you'll find a group of men and women with diverse intellectual interests. We boast memebers
of every college at Northwestern from Speech right on through McCormick School of Engineering. So, what do we do? Well, perusing
the pages of this website will give you a fairly good idea, the gist of it is we try to foster a sense of community by living together,
partaking in social events, playing sports,
going to firesides on various topics, and communicating with Northwestern faculty associated with Chapin.
So, why should you want to live here? Numero Uno, not to brag or anything, we're a pretty friendly bunch here. We like everything from the theater to professional wrestling (how different are they really?) We're a social dorm on the whole, but it's quiet enough so that you don't have to walk all the way to the library to study (most of the time). We've got a great bunch of faculty associates. We're small enough so you can get to know every last person in the dorm if you want to, but we're big enough to get some really diverse interests onto our three floors. Basically, we like it here. Are you ready to take a more detailed look at the dorm? Then proceed to explore the rest of this site, and don't hesitate to give us an e-mail if you have any questions.
